DHA (Docosahexaenoic acid) has been shown to improve cognitive ability and visual acuity in new-born mammals, and so has the potential to speed up training, obedience and socialisation. Its recent addition to puppy foods has been much publicised, but it is rarely found in milk replacers. DHA has been added to both Beaphar Lactol formulations.
